The 2016 Toyota Camry gets you more car for the money than the Honda Accord.

Price and Value

Most drivers shopping for a family-sized sedan are concerned with price, so we start our comparison there. The 2016 Toyota Camry is much more budget-friendly than the Honda Accord. While it’s true that the base-model Camry is priced higher than the Accord’s basic trim, the Camry keeps things affordable all the way down the lineup. The plush-yet-sporty Camry XSE starts its MSRP at $26,310 for all the goodies and features you could want, but you will find yourself paying $34,680 for the Accord Touring – that’s over $8,000 in savings! Point goes to the Toyota Camry!

Comparable Trims

It’s true that the 2016 Camry and the 2016 Accord are very evenly matched in most areas, but there are a few things the Camry offers that are conspicuously absent in the Accord. In terms of features, the Toyota Camry XSE comes with a standard front knee-area airbag, heated front seats, and a split-folding rear bench seat. None of those items are available at all in the comparable Honda Accord EX (with CVT). In most mid-size sedans, people up front have no need to worry about feeling cramped, it’s the rear seats that can pose a problem – especially in the Honda Accord. The Toyota Camry’s rear cabin measures 38.9” of rear leg room, 56.6” of rear shoulder room, and 38.1” of rear headroom. The Honda Accord might feel a bit cramped with its 38.5” of leg room, 56.5” of shoulder room, and mere 37.0” of head room for rear passengers. Point goes to the Camry for its superior features and for allowing us to stretch out, even if it’s just a little bit more.

Come to Pat Lobb’s Toyota of McKinney and shop our selection of the 2016 Toyota Camry, you will be glad you did when you drive off in one of these superior vehicles to your home in Richardson, Prosper, Allen, Dallas, Frisco, or Plano, TX.
