Toyota has made minor changes throughout the standard and optional features for the 2023 Toyota Tacoma. There are more customization options now, including two new appearance packages for the most affordable trim, and more options are available earlier in the lineup.
2023 Toyota Tacoma - Performance
Both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive are available at Pat Lobb Toyota of McKinney for the new Toyota Tacoma near Plano. Most trims give you the option. The TRD Off-Road and TRD Pro come standard with four-wheel drive. The standard engine is a 2.7-liter four-cylinder that makes 159 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque. The optional engine is a 3.5-liter V6 that makes 278 hp and 265 lb.-ft. The four-cylinder is standard with the SR and SR5. The V6 is standard with all other trims and optional with the SR5. All models have a six-speed automatic transmission standard. A six-speed manual transmission is optional with the V6 engine.
Toyota Tacoma - Safety
A rearview camera system, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and frontal collision warning with automatic braking are all standard features. Blind-spot monitoring, rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera and navigation are optional and become standard later in the lineup.
Toyota Tacoma - Mechanical
Keyless entry and ignition become standard with the V6 SR5 and up. The Trail Edition option for the SR5 adds a 1.1-inch suspension lift. The TRD Off-Road has a lockable rear differential and Bilstein shocks. The TRD Pro has a more sophisticated off-road suspension with Fox dampers. Trailering equipment is available, and maximum towing for the Tacoma ranges from 3,500 to 6,800 pounds.
