The Land Cruiser returns to the U.S. with the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser, which will soon be available to test-drive, buy and lease at Pat Lobb Toyota of McKinney. The base trim is the Land Cruiser 1958, and the 1958 badging celebrates the first Land Cruiser model ever offered in the U.S. Simply called the Land Cruiser, the mid-tier trim will likely prove to be the most popular as it adds a more upscale interior, and the First Edition will only be offered for the 2024 model year and boasts a number of high-end exclusive features.

The biggest difference about the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser near Plano is the boxier aesthetic, which is a return to what the Land Cruiser was once known for. Form factor is a bit smaller than the previous Land Cruiser with the overall length being reduced about an inch—a little more than 16 feet overall—and the height being reduced by about an inch as well. Color options announced thus far include Black, Ice Cap, Meteor Shower, Underground and Wind Chill Pearl. You’ll also have the option of either Trail Dust or Heritage Blue paired with a Grayscape roof for classic two-tone aesthetic.

The 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser is a five-passenger vehicle. Some customers have noted that the preproduction vehicles made available to automotive journalists had provisions for a third row, but we don’t have any information as yet whether Toyota will offer a third row as an option. Headroom and legroom have not been officially announced, but we do know that they’ll be plenty of space in the second row for adult passengers. You can also expect more than 20 cubic feet of cargo space. The 1958 will have a cloth interior. The Land Cruiser has synthetic leather seating, and the First Edition upgrades the Land Cruiser with genuine leather seating.
Toyota Land Cruiser Mechanical specs
The 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser is designed exclusively as a four-wheel-drive vehicle. All models sold and leased through our Toyota dealership serving McKinney Plano Richardson Prosper Dallas will have a transfer case that can be put into either 4-Hi or 4-Lo mode. Ground clearance is 8.7 inches. The approach, breakover and departure angles have all been adjusted for better off-road performance, and if you opt for either the mid- or top-tier trim, you get a front stabilizer bar that disconnects.
Powertrain - Toyota Dealership near Plano TX
The 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser near Plano is powered by a hybrid powertrain, which is, in fact, the same i-Force Max powertrain found in the Tacoma pickup truck. Final specifications are not available as of this writing, but we know that the Tacoma with this setup makes 326 hp and 465 lb.-ft. of torque. We also know that all Land Cruiser models with come standard with a hitch and be able to tow 6,000 pounds.

The Land Cruiser has an 8-inch touch screen. The upper trims boast a 12.3-inch touch screen, and all models sold and leased through Pat Lobb Toyota of McKinney come with Toyota’s latest infotainment software. All models also come standard with the full Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite. Options have not been announced yet, but we do expect a head-up display and surround-view camera.
