In fact, it’s the same i-Force Max powertrain that Toyota uses in the recently redesigned Tacoma. While final specifications haven’t been announced, we do know that the Land Cruiser will be able to tow 6,000 pounds and that this powertrain in the Tacoma makes an impressive 326 hp and 465 lb.-ft.
There’s no need to be concerned about off-roading as the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser will be as off-road capable as ever. Four-wheel drive with a two-speed transfer case—4-Hi or 4-Lo—is standard. Power is distributed to the four wheels through a shiftable eight-speed automatic transmission. Minimum ground clearance is 8.7 inches. The approach and departure angles have been configured with off-roading in mind, and above the base trim, the Land Cruiser features a disconnecting front stabilizer bar that allows for greater wheel articulation.
